This is my Black Owl Signature Knife which will be launched at Lavvu on the Farm on the 24th August 2024

The knife is made of the finest quality and the materials are of the highest standard. 

First the knife is cut out of 1084 rolled steel into it's rough shape with an angle grinder. Once the rough cuts have been made it gets processed further by the belt grinder. In this 2 step process the blade is first refined in shape then the edge is ground. At this stage holes are drilled onto the handle. Once the blade is shaped is then heat treated: quenched in oil then tempered in a kilm. Finally the blade is sanded to its final edge and a handle is glued on, shaped then sanded. The sheath is made of kydex, a thermoplastic that is heated and  pressed into shape. Finally rivets are put in and the sheath fit is adjusted and the blade sharpened

This knife is designed with a brilliant Scandi grind, also known as a Scandinavian grind or a zero grind, features a flat primary bevel extending all the way to the blade's edge a curved blade for dressing, carving and cutting with a 5mm full tang fantastic to baton with, A great 90% angle spine for a ferrocerium rod giving a great spark and G10 butterfly scales for a great grip.

Each knife will have its own individuality and will be unique to you.
